Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) is seeking a Generation Technical Specialist - Aeroderivative Turbines to provide on-site technical support for APS and contractor teams, ensuring maintenance aligns with OEM specifications, industry best practices, and safety standards.

You will collaborate with engineering to evaluate inspection results and performance trends, troubleshoot emergent turbine issues, and act as a liaison between plant personnel and turbine OEMs to drive reliability and efficiency

Qualifications

Minimum 15 years as a Technical Field Advisor in power generation.
Two-year Associates may substitute for two years experience; four-year degree substitutes for four years experience.
Experience with aeroderivative turbines including GE LMS100/LM6000/LM5000/LM2500.

Responsibilities

Guide turbine control systems per OEM procedures and engineering standards.
Identify and resolve turbine control issues; analyze performance for improvements.
Lead maintenance, upgrades, software migrations, testing and commissioning.
Oversee OEM representatives, vendors and contractors on turbine systems.
Plan outages, scope work, budgets, and commissioning plans.
Provide training and mentoring to plant personnel on controls and maintenance.
Stay updated on technology and industry developments in turbine controls.
