Job summary

Arizona Public Service Co. is seeking a Generation Technical Specialist for Aeroderivative Turbines to provide on-site technical support for APS and contractor teams.

You will ensure maintenance aligns with OEM specs, industry best practices, and safety standards, while collaborating with engineering to recommend proactive maintenance and improvements. You will troubleshoot emergent turbine issues, work with OEMs on technical solutions, and drive reliability and efficiency across plant

Qualifications

• Extensive aeroderivative turbine experience (maintenance, troubleshooting, performance).
• Strong knowledge of OEM specifications, industry standards and safety.
• Ability to analyze inspection data and performance trends for recommendations.
• Proven problem-solving and quick diagnostic abilities.
• Collaborates with engineering teams, plant personnel and OEM reps.
• Commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical guidance for maintenance and repair on aeroderivative turbines.
• Ensure adherence to OEM specs, regulations and safety practices.
• Work with engineering to evaluate inspection results and trends.
• Diagnose and resolve turbine-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Serve as liaison between plant personnel and turbine manufacturers.
• Identify and implement best practices for turbine maintenance and reliability.
• Provide training and mentoring on turbine controls and operations.
