Job summary

Bechtel’s Manufacturing and Technology unit is designing a semiconductor fab in Clay, NY. We are seeking an experienced Subcontract Manager to lead formation and administration of project subcontracts on-site, collaborating with customers and contractors to meet schedule and cost objectives.

You will manage bids, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance with project requirements, while coordinating with the project team to resolve issues and report progress.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree and 8-10 years of relevant experience.
• Expert knowledge of subcontract terms and EPC contracting practices.
• Strong negotiation, judgment and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead subcontract formation and administration including bid packages and contracts.
• Review progress, forecast difficulties, and communicate issues to management.
• Coordinate with staff on operational activities affecting rights and obligations.
• Negotiate contract changes and secure approvals per procedures.
• Prepare meeting notes and organize pre-bid and pre-award meetings.
