Job summary

Matrix Service Company is seeking a Manager, Quality to lead on-site QC functions, drive compliance with company, owner, and government regulations, and coordinate internal and external audits for quality control.

The role includes providing technical expertise in inspection methods, preparing inspection reports, and guiding corrective actions to ensure safe, reliable project execution. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 6+ years of QA/QC management experience.
• 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
• Certification in a discipline-specific inspection process preferred (e.g., AWS CWI, ASNT Level II, NACE).
• Experience with radiographic, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant testing desirable.
• Extensive field welding knowledge in SAW, SMAW, FCAW.
• Strong understanding of industry codes and standards.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and teamwork.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate on-site QC functions and activities.
• Establish and conduct internal/external audits for quality control.
• Decide acceptance or rejection of work in process and completed work.
• Provide specialized technical expertise for the Quality program and testing methods.
• Create inspection reports and recommend corrective actions.
• Apply quality systems knowledge to verify contract standards for projects.
• Maintain quality standards of products and materials in scope.
• Lead and develop team members and contribute to functional strategy.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and manage subordinate personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
