Job summary

Wärtsilä North America, INC. is seeking a Customer Support Engineer to serve as the on-site technical and operational representative at customer power plants under LTSA or service agreements.

You will become the primary technical contact, supporting safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations and overseeing operations, maintenance, and asset lifecycle needs. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
• Senior-level experience in power plant operations, field service, maintenance, commissioning, or technical customer support.
• Strong knowledge of plant systems and ability to understand interactions between mechanical, electrical, automation, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Wärtsilä’s on-site technical representative and trusted advisor to the customer.
• Maintain a strong understanding of the plant as an integrated system during daily operations.
• Support commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness activities when required.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to plant operations and maintenance teams.
• Coordinate with internal technical experts to resolve issues and optimize plant performance.
• Prepare clear technical reports and communicate plant conditions and recommended actions to stakeholders.
