Job summary

Total Millwork, LLC is seeking an experienced Field Supervisor to oversee daily field activities of millwork projects in the DC/MD/VA area. You will manage crews, coordinate with Project Managers, and ensure installations meet contract documents and codes.

The role requires foreman-level supervision, blueprint-reading ability, and strong problem-solving skills. On-site work in the DMV area with occasional office visits, competitive salary, and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising Foremen and Crew Leaders.
• Able to read blueprints and understand regulations and building codes.
• Strong time management and the ability to manage the time of others.
• Must own the tools needed for small casework/millwork installations.
• Excellent English communication, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, schedules, and oversees construction job sites and production scheduling.
• Organizes and schedules in-house and outsourced installation crews.
• Plans for and orders equipment, materials, and supplies, and ensures they are ready when needed.
• Coordinates delivery and installation of products with delivery personnel, installers, and site superintendents.
• Coordinates plans with builders, internal trades, and external trades.
• Reviews plans with job Foremen and the General Superintendent.
• Communicates schedules and project needs to Project Managers and Purchasers; communicates changes to all involved parties.
• Manages schedules, labor costs, and performance of all installation teams; monitors budgets and updates production schedules.
• Checks jobs and monitors productivity of Foremen and crews; develops improvement strategies.
• Resolves field problems with direct reports and subcontractors.
• Ensures projects conform to contract documents and applicable standards and codes.
• Performs turn-key installation of smaller casework or millwork projects and completes punch-list items.
• Performs layouts and completes administrative tasks and reports.
• Assists in developing programs to motivate employees and increase their skills.
