Job summary

Total Millwork, LLC is seeking an experienced Field Supervisor to oversee daily field activities across DC/MD/VA projects. You will manage crews, schedule deliveries, coordinate with project managers and trades, and ensure installations meet contract documents and standards.

The role requires hands-on leadership, field problem-solving, and ability to work on-site at multiple active sites with occasional visits to the Manassas, VA office. DMV residency is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience supervising Foremen and Crew Leaders directly or indirectly.
• Ability to read blueprints, regulations, and building codes.
• Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, and schedule instructions.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, and tools; millwork/casework installation.
• Basic math for estimating sizes, distances, quantities, time, and materials.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making skills.
• Strong time management and ability to manage others’ time.
• Clear English communication (spoken and written); bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Must own tools needed for small casework/millwork installations.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, schedules, and oversees construction job sites and production scheduling.
• Organizes and schedules installation crews, in-house and outsourced.
• Orders equipment, materials, and supplies and ensures readiness.
• Coordinates delivery and installation with delivery personnel, installers, and superintendents.
• Coordinates plans with builders and trades (framing, plumbing, electrical).
• Reviews plans with Foremen and the General Superintendent.
• Communicates schedules and needs to Project Managers and Purchasers; relays changes to all parties.
• Manages schedules, labor costs, and performance of installation teams; monitors budgets and updates schedules.
• Monitors productivity and performance of Foremen and crews; develops improvements.
• Resolves field problems with direct reports and subcontractors.
• Ensures conformance with contract documents and standards.
• Performs turn-key installation of smaller millwork projects and completes punch lists.
• Completes administrative tasks and periodic reports.
• Assists in developing programs to motivate employees and increase skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
