Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, implement, and optimize enterprise Kubernetes clusters powering AI workloads at a DoD-level site in Bethesda. The role emphasizes IaC, secure pipelines, and rigorous documentation within a 100% on-site engagement.

The candidate will apply Linux expertise across RHEL/Ubuntu, manage containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes, and ensure compliance with federal security standards while collaborating with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/EE or related field.
• 5+ years in Platform or System Engineering.
• Strong Linux expertise (RHEL, Ubuntu, Oracle Linux, Rocky).
• Experience administering Kubernetes clusters.
• Hands-on Docker container experience.
• Experience with AI/ML workflow orchestration (Argo, Airflow, Kubeflow).
• RESTful APIsfor platform integration and automation.
• IAT Level II/III certifications (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain enterprise Kubernetes platforms.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Salt, Ansible, Bash, Python).
• Collaborate to design secure, automated pipelines (GitLab CI/CD).
• Troubleshoot complex systems across cloud, network, and platform layers.
• Maintain technical documentation and support ATO with federal security standards.
