Job summary

Base-2 Solutions, LLC. is seeking a Platform Engineer to design, develop, and optimize Kubernetes platforms supporting enterprise AI capabilities for mission customers.

The role requires deep expertise in operating systems, hardware, GPUs, and high-speed networking and is performed 100% on-site at the customer site in Bethesda, Maryland. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in CS/EE or related field with 5+ years in Platform/Systems Engineering.
• Experience Linux distributions: RHEL, Ubuntu, Oracle Linux, Rocky Linux.
• Experience administering Kubernetes clusters and container workloads.
• Hands-on with Docker and container images across SDLC.
• Experience with Kubernetes AI/ML workflows (Argo, Airflow, Kubeflow).
• Experience with RESTful APIs for integration and automation.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain Kubernetes platforms for enterprise AI workloads.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Salt, Ansible, Bash, Python.
• Collaborate to design secure CI/CD pipelines, incl. GitLab CI/CD.
• Troubleshoot complex systems across cloud, network, and platform layers.
• Maintain docs and support compliance with federal security standards.
