Job summary

Vanderlande is seeking a Site Manager to oversee all on-site activities related to installation of material handling equipment. You will plan, report, and resolve logistic, technical, or organizational issues, and maintain clear communication with customers about progress and any out-of-scope work.

Travel up to 80-90% domestically or internationally. You will lead site installation teams, manage contracts, monitor quality, time, and costs, and provide regular updates to customers and project

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written skills.
• Proven leadership capabilities in creating unified and motivated project teams.
• Exceptional organizational skills and a track record of working effectively in a team environment that incorporates engineering and project management.
• Proactive and hands on work ethic proven ability in problem solving, especially in intense situations.
• Working knowledge of electromechanical controls wiring and systems.
• Experience with contract management, project planning and site organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage on-site installation team on complex projects.
• P&L responsibility for site activities and costs.
• Manage site-based contracts with high project risk and complex equipment.
• Understand contracts and mitigate related risks.
• Monitor on-site activities and perform site walks daily.
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Report and escalate nonconformities to customer and PM.
• Negotiate with customers and subcontractors on contract issues.
