Job summary

Vanderlande Industries GmbH in the United States is seeking a Site Electrical Project Supervisor to manage installation of material handling systems. You will oversee electrical subcontractors, ensure safe installations, and maintain communication with project staff, customers, and vendors.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working with electro-mechanical equipment.
• Ability to travel on short notice to address urgent project requirements.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and potentially off-shift hours.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and AHJ requirements, with the ability to train others.
• Ability to read, understand, red line, and challenge electrical layout drawings, standards, and schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex control and motor wiring circuit problems.
• Exhibits strong leadership skills and a collaborative mentality.
• Previous experience in installation of material handling equipment.
• Identify and analyze (potential) problems / risks and opportunities.
• Initiates rapid and adequate corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure Vanderlande processes within project scope.

Responsibilities

• Ensure subcontractors execute safe installations and repairs per drawings.
• Manage subcontractor crews up to 100 workers on large projects.
• Coordinate with vendors to supplement installation.
• Ensure equipment and devices meet code and specifications.
• Provide progress verification in meetings with subcontractors and project team.
• Distribute redline updates to subcontractor and engineering team.
• Track progress and align actual vs planned progress weekly.
• Validate turnover documentation from subcontractors.
