Job summary

Penguin Solutions Senior Professional Services provides essential engineering services for complex, integrated environments involving HPC, cloud, and enterprise systems. You will install, configure, troubleshoot, and document deployed solutions at customer sites with strong customer-service skills.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of UNIX/Linux experience, Linux networking expertise, and hands-on deployment capabilities, with US citizenship required and up to 60% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years hands-on UNIX/Linux server experience.
• Experience configuring Linux TCP/IP networking.
• Familiarity with RAID via md/mdadm and LVM.
• Knowledge of systemd, firewalld, and kickstart installation.
• Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Build, install, and troubleshoot complex computer and network systems.
• Provide hands-on deployment of Penguin Computing's solutions.
• Racking, cabling, software install, configuration, and verification.
• Test, troubleshoot, and optimize hardware, software, and networks.
• Contribute to documentation and training for solutions.
• Grow technical expertise within the team and support sales opportunities.
• Fully document processes and procedures; travel up to 60%.
