Penguin Solutions is seeking a CIS/IT professional to join the Professional Services team in a hybrid role based in Durham, NC, with remote options within the US. You will install, configure, and support high‑performance computing, cloud, and enterprise systems at customer sites.

Responsibilities include hands‑on deployment, documentation, and knowledge transfer, with up to 60% travel. A strong UNIX/Linux background and relevant certifications are preferred.

Formación

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with UNIX/Linux server environments.
• Experience with Linux TCP/IP configuration.
• Skills with Linux md and lvm software RAID technologies.
• Familiarity with other Linux basics such as systemd, firewalld and kickstart installation.
• Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• US citizenship is required for this position.

Responsabilidades

• Build, install, and troubleshoot complex computer and network systems, independently or in teams.
• Provide hands-on deployment of Penguin Computing's solutions.
• Perform in‑factory and on‑site racking, cabling, software installation, configuration, and verification.
• Install, configure, and tune software applications and software‑defined solutions.
• Test and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.
• Contribute to documentation and training for Penguin Computing's solutions.
• Grow Penguin Computing's technical expertise through peer education and other means.
• Support sales opportunities with technical input.
• Assist local technical support and repair engineers.
• Fully document processes, procedures, and all work performed.
• Travel up to 60%.
