Job summary

McShane Construction Company is seeking a Project Superintendent to lead day-to-day on-site activities, coordinating subcontractors, materials, and staff to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget. You’ll serve as the on-site leader, ensuring quality and adherence to project plans and codes.

HQ in Rosemont, IL with nationwide project opportunities. Qualifications include 7+ years in construction management, strong communication with stakeholders, and proficiency with Salus,

Qualifications

• 7+ years’ experience in Construction Management.
• Strong communication with clients, design consultants and trade partners.
• Proficient with Salus, PlanGrid, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to schedule projects using MS Project or Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage all on-site construction activities while ensuring safety and quality.
• Prepare and maintain a 4-6 week look ahead schedule.
• Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, material deliveries, and equipment to optimize workflow.
• Monitor progress and prepare daily progress reports on site conditions and schedule risks.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct site inspections.
• Communicate with General Superintendent, Senior Superintendent, project managers, clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors to align goals.
• Manage on-site personnel and assign tasks.
• Review drawings and project documents to guide construction activities.
• Ensure work complies with codes and regulations and is of high quality.
• Participate in project meetings and progress reviews with clients.
• Identify risks and propose solutions to keep the project on track.
• Apply knowledge of construction processes and best practices.
