Job summary

Lilly is building a greenfield API manufacturing site in Houston, TX, to produce oligonucleotides and other molecules. This role supports technical transfer, process validation, and manufacturing excellence in a GMP environment.

Ideal candidates have a strong chemistry/biochemistry background, 10+ years of cGMP manufacturing experience, and proven leadership and communication skills to drive cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry, biochemical engineering, or related science.
• 10+ years of experience in cGMP oligonucleotide, peptide, or small molecule API commercial-scale manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical oversight and stewardship for one or more molecules manufactured at the Lilly Houston facility.
• Leads the technical transfer of processes between facilities and addresses scale-up issues.
• Mentors Process Team members, monitors, trends, and analyzes production data.
• Supports management of daily manufacturing operations and prepares technical reports.
• Reviews manufacturing batch records and related documentation; supports change controls and investigations.
