This senior role blends hands‑on lab work with strategic design, data‑driven development, and cross‑functional collaboration with operations and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Chemical Biology, or related field including extensive oligonucleotide chemistry.
• Minimum of 15 years of direct industry experience in oligonucleotide synthesis, product and process development, and tech transfer into manufacturing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects, mentor scientists, and collaborate cross‑functionally.
• Excellent communication skills for internal and external audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead Petaluma Innovation Hub Oligo Chemistry Function from concept through delivery.
• Partner with peers and global team to deliver to customers and achieve objectives.
• Oversee and execute oligo synthesis projects, including planning and resource coordination.
• Deliver and define manufacturing instructions for synthesis, purification, analysis; support operations.
• Mentor scientists and promote rigorous documentation and best practices.
