Job summary

Stream Realty Partners, L.P. is seeking a Senior Construction Manager for Chicago office interiors. You will lead tenant improvement and capital improvement projects from concept through close-out, coordinating with owners, design teams, and contractors.

You will define scope, cost, and schedule, drive value engineering, and manage occupied buildings. The role requires strong communication, budgeting, and risk management skills across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM, architecture, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of construction management or project management experience in commercial office interiors.
• Experience managing multiple projects independently with general contractors, design teams, and client relationships.
• Able to read construction drawings; strong estimating, bid-leveling, and cost-control skills with a sharp eye for risk.
• Working knowledge of AIA contracts, pay applications, lien waivers, and change orders; proficient in MS Office and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Preconstruction & Bid: translate concepts into scopes, budgets, and schedules; lead architects/engineers in CD development and value engineering; manage bidding end to end; negotiate contracts and issue POs.
• Project Delivery: run weekly progress meetings; oversee submittals, procurement, and schedules; monitor budget, quality, safety; manage changes and close-out.
• Client & Relationship Management: serve as primary client contact; provide monthly reporting; build relationships with owners, design teams, and contractors; mentor junior staff.
