Chesterfield County Public Schools is seeking a clerical support employee to assist in the main or guidance office. The role involves routine clerical duties, reprographics, filing and ordering supplies, plus light typing and information dissemination.
You're expected to screen visitors, handle calls and mail, respond to routine inquiries, and help with data entry and record keeping. Prior office experience and strong communication are valued in a quiet office environment.

Provides clerical support services in the school's main office or guidance office. Performs routine clerical duties within established procedures and standard practices. Tasks performed are outlined in oral and written instructions; employee has some control over work assignments. Each position will have a specific set of work assignments particular to meeting the needs of the students or department being served.

General public and school staff – daily, to obtain or provide information.

Some skill in typing, operating personal computers, word processing equipment or other automated office systems. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and to work effectively with all levels of personnel, students and public. Education, training or experience sufficient to demonstrate the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
