Chesterfield County Public Schools seeks a dedicated classroom assistant to support teachers and students across multiple subjects. You will help with small-group instruction, prep materials, and supervise students in transit and during activities.
The role includes clerical tasks such as attendance tracking, filing, and ordering supplies, with a focus on safe, supportive learning environments in a public school setting.

Provides support services for teachers and administrators. Performs routine clerical and/or instructional assignments within established procedures and standard practices. Tasks performed are outlined in oral and written instructions; the employee has some control over work assignments. Contacts are made within and outside the school and may require the handling of sensitive information or dealing tactfully with parents, teachers, and staff. Some judgment is required. Each position will have a specific set of work assignments particular to meeting the needs of the students or department being served.

Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle or feel objects, printed materials and/or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, and kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a public school setting. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.
