Job summary

MITRE Corporation is seeking experienced cybersecurity professionals to advance adversary emulation, offensive security, and threat intelligence across national security programs. You will work on ATT&CK, Caldera, and related MITRE efforts, collaborating with government sponsors to improve cyber defense and research outcomes.

The role requires a strong background in red team operations, tool development, and clear, concise technical communication.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years with Bachelor’s; or 3 years with Master’s; or PhD with relevant experience.
• Experience creating/using offensive security tools, malware implants, red team capabilities in one or more languages.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver adversary emulation capabilities independently.
• Excellent written and oral communication, including presenting technical analyses.
• Active Top Secret/SCI with polygraph clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
• Requires minimum of 4 days on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and emulate cutting-edge threat capabilities using adversary behavior knowledge.
• Advance cyber operations with AI, purple teaming, and CTI.
• Build products, perform R&D, and help sponsors solve CTI problems.
• Propose/lead research to improve cyber operations.
• Lead offensive security engagements to show blue teams how to respond to adversaries.
• Advance ATT&CK, Caldera, and MITRE efforts.
