Job summary

MITRE’s Cyber Infrastructure Protection Innovation Center seeks a cyber security engineer to develop and support adversary emulation capabilities for OT/Control Systems within MITRE’s labs and sponsor spaces. The candidate will grow expertise in cyber-physical security, threat-informed defense, and software development in a labs-driven environment.

You will work on cutting-edge, impactful solutions for government projects, collaborating with sponsors and teams to advance CI/OT cybersecurity

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
8+ years with a Bachelor’s; 6+ years with a Master’s; 3+ years with a PhD in OT cybersecurity or related field.
Experience in OT cybersecurity, adversary emulation, protocol analysis, software development, and/or process control.
Experience with Python programming and ability to solve challenging technical problems.

Responsibilities

Applying adversary emulation and protocol analysis expertise in support of sponsors.
Leading and developing adversary emulation capabilities like Caldera for OT.
Managing small tasks and projects.
Work shaping and developing strong sponsor relationships.
Providing mentorship to junior staff.
Generating ideas for research to improve cybersecurity for critical infrastructure.
