Job summary

StandardAero in Springfield, IL seeks a Senior ODA Certification Engineer to ensure aircraft design, modifications, and repairs meet FAA requirements and aviation safety standards.

You will develop certification plans, coordinate design and program reviews, maintain STC project certifications, and mentor teammates, with travel up to 25% and a focus on precise regulatory compliance. This role offers a pathway to impact across programs and strengthen product integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in engineering or certification role.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical aviation discipline or equivalent.
• Experience with 14 CFR Parts 21, 23, 25, 27, 29.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Willing to work off-schedule hours and weekends.
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organization and planning skills.
• Ability to anticipate problems and proactively address issues.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Travel up to 25%.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Interface with StandardAero ODA members, vendors, and customers.
• Develop, edit and contribute to certification documents.
• Attend project meetings and own action items.
• Develop and execute certification plans for modification projects.
• Develop and maintain the MDL for STC projects.
• Manage project certification compliance.
• Coordinate design and program reviews.
• Mentor on certification requirements and processes.
• Overall STC Project Management.
• Assist others within the department.
