Job summary

Oracle is seeking an OCI Cloud Architect to join its North America Cloud Engineering team in the United States. In this presales role, you will lead technical engagements from discovery through architecture and proof of concept, partnering with security, risk, and operations teams to validate solutions for financial institutions.

You will design OCI and multi-cloud architectures, handle workload sizing and cost tradeoffs, and develop compelling technical and business cases for adoption.

Qualifications

• 10 years of relevant cloud architecture or related experience in financial services or delivering technology to financial institutions.
• Depth in at least one financial services domain (banking, payments, capital markets, insurance, etc.).
• Strong experience across OCI, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, building OCI expertise.
• Hands-on ability to deploy and troubleshoot cloud environments; IaC and automation with scripting/APIs.
• Experience with security reviews, production-readiness, and architecture reviews in financial institutions.
• Presales experience is valuable; customer-facing architecture roles encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Lead workload discovery with sales and customer teams and define objectives and acceptance criteria.
• Design OCI, hybrid, and multicloud architectures across compute, storage, networking, identity, security, and data platforms.
• Lead workshops, proofs of concept, and benchmarks with representative workloads.
• Address financial services constraints: transaction correctness, peak demand, data residency, and third-party dependencies.
• Develop proposals, sizing, BOMs, migrations, and cost comparisons with licensing and support considerations.
• Coordinate with OCI specialists, PM, Engineering, Customer Success, Consulting, and partners to move from proof to adoption.
• Present to technical and executive audiences and create reusable reference architectures.
