Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Account Executive Officer (AEO) for Ocean Marine to partner with agents and brokers in providing coverage for new and renewal books. You will assess complex risks, negotiate with customers, and drive profitability while building strong internal and external relationships.

The role requires deep Ocean Marine knowledge, 6–8 years of underwriting experience, and travel for meetings with partners. A CPCU designation and a degree are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience with Ocean Marine.
• Deep knowledge of Ocean Marine products, regulatory environment, and local market.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills in risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned Ocean Marine book.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Travel to meet agents and brokers to market Travelers products and write/retain accounts within risk appetite.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans in collaboration with leadership.
• Mentor less experienced Account Executives as needed.
