Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in Hebron, Kentucky is seeking a Senior Sales Business Development Executive for Ocean Freight to drive new business and expand relationships with mid-sized to strategic customers in the assigned territory.

You will act as a bridge between customers and our business units, using a consultative selling approach to understand the client’s current situation and future direction, and to propose integrated logistics solutions that add measurable value.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years field sales in freight forwarding.
• Ocean Freight sales experience preferred.
• Experience with logistics processes, systems and solutions.
• Strong PC skills and Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Bachelor degree is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Win, retain and develop medium to large business customers through hunting and account management.
• Grow sales with new offerings and customer support strategies across the territory.
• Build rapport with customers and coordinate with Product, Trade Lane Managers, and other sales channels.
• Recommend customer solutions using industry knowledge.
• Organize and participate in customer workshops on import brokerage and new products.
• Collaborate across Deutsche Post DHL sales channels to service client needs.
• Prepare RFI/RFP/RFQ inputs and ensure proper handover for implementation.
• Execute all stages of the sales process and maintain CRM records.
