Scan Global Logistics is seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Manager to oversee ARG ocean import/export operations. The role requires strong leadership, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage complex shipments and relationships with customers and carriers.

The position is full-time and on-site with options in Arlington, VA or Elizabeth, NJ. Salary ranges from $100,000 to $110,000 annually, plus benefits and 40-hour work weeks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of ocean freight forwarding experience, preferably ARG/NGO/humanitarian logistics.
• 2+ years of supervisory or management experience in freight forwarding or logistics.
• Working knowledge of ITAR compliance and U.S. export control requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage ocean import/export operations from origin to delivery.
• Lead and develop the Ocean Freight team; provide training and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and FMC/ITAR requirements.
• Review shipping documents including Bills of Lading, invoices, and AES filings.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, carriers, brokers, and agents.
