Job summary

State of Minnesota is seeking an Occupational Therapist Senior to provide clinical coverage, staff mentoring, and program development across MHSATS facilities. The role ensures OT services meet best practices and licensure requirements while supporting trauma-informed care and staff development.

Responsibilities include coordinating student fieldwork, onboarding, and ongoing training; ensuring ongoing competency; and partnering with educational institutions to attract qualified professionals.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice occupational therapy in Minnesota or must obtain MN licensure before appointment.
• Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
• At least 3 years of professional, post-licensure occupational therapy experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide training and mentoring to OT and OTA staff to support high-quality services and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Provide direct coverage and additional support to OT/OTA staff at sites in MHSATS.
• Maintain required clinical competency through continuing education and regulatory training for hospital appointments and privileging.
• Develop and coordinate OT student fieldwork and internship programs.
