Job summary

State of Minnesota's Direct Care and Treatment division in Alexandria seeks an Occupational Therapist Senior to assess, plan, and implement therapy for adults with psychiatric needs. The role focuses on ADLs, cognition, education, vocation, and social participation within inpatient care.

The position requires Minnesota OT licensure or eligibility, with options for relocation assistance and a potential incentive of up to $2500. Work hours are daytime, weekdays, with occasional weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in Minnesota or eligible for licensure in Minnesota prior to appointment.
• At least 6 months to 18 months of post-licensure OT experience depending on degree.
• Ability to develop and implement treatment plans and document progress.
• Experience with activities of daily living and cognitive/social participation therapies.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing assessment and evaluation of treatment needs for patients with complex mental health concerns.
• Determine patient functional abilities through administration of Living Skill Evaluations.
• Develop and implement treatment plans and document progress toward treatment goals.
• Intervene in ADLs, instrumental ADLs, education, vocation, recreation, cognition, and social participation through individual/group therapy.
