Job summary

AHEAD is seeking a Sr. Observability Solutions Engineer to drive complex observability solutions in a pre-sales capacity. You will collaborate with account teams to design, architect, and position solutions based on Datadog, Dynatrace, Chronosphere, and Splunk.

The role requires strong consulting skills, cloud infrastructure experience, and the ability to mentor others. Must be willing to travel up to 30% and thrive in a fast-paced, tech-forward environment.

Qualifications

Expertise in observability technologies (Datadog, Dynatrace, Chronosphere, New Relic, Splunk).
Splunk Enterprise/Cloud/Enterprise Security expertise.
Consulting experience advising on technical solutions.
Experience with cloud infrastructure, networking and sysadmin.
Leadership in architecture across multiple vendors.
Ability to evaluate new technologies and train others.
Ability to translate customer needs into solutions.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Experience with Visio and PowerPoint.
Strong technical aptitude and leadership.
Self-motivated and proactive.
Cribl and Big Panda experience a plus.
Automation/configuration management tools a plus.

Responsibilities

Be a thought leader for clients and design technical solutions.
Support sales with advice and proposals meeting technical and business needs.
Develop relationships across observability teams and partners.
Lead technical sales calls and pre-sales documentation.
Qualify opportunities based on customer requirements and funding.
Present architectural designs and business justifications to customers and management.
Mentor entry-level team members and share knowledge.
Maintain deep product/industry knowledge and strong communication.
