Job summary

LPL Financial is seeking a Senior Engineer, Observability and Platform Stability to ensure reliability, availability, and performance of enterprise observability platforms and supporting applications. You will partner with SRE, Platform Engineering, DevOps, and Incident Management to mature CI/CD, improve platform stability, and drive proactive operations.

Qualifications

6+ years of experience in SRE, platform engineering, production support, enterprise operations, or related tech environments.
5+ years supporting enterprise platforms including AWS, Dynatrace, ELK, ServiceNow, and SolarWinds.
Experience troubleshooting complex production incidents in enterprise-scale environments.
Experience executing changes through formal change and release management processes.

Responsibilities

Partner with Product Owners and engineering teams to provide operational and release support for tech initiatives.
Ensure platform changes meet readiness requirements with rollback procedures and runbooks.
Maintain production stability during upgrades and initiatives.
Support platform ownership transitions and global operational readiness activities.
Troubleshoot incidents to restore services and minimize business impact.
Act as escalation point for complex incidents and contribute to RCA and corrective actions.
Improve monitoring, alerting, and issue detection with observability teams.
Lead CI/CD maturation and release automation in collaboration with SB and DevOps teams.
Maintain runbooks, incident playbooks, and release procedures.
