Job summary

Capital Group is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate the observability capabilities that thousands of engineers rely on to understand the health, performance, and behavior of applications and infrastructure.

You will work with OpenTelemetry-based standards and integrate with Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, and log platforms to deliver unified observability through modular, reusable tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in Software/Platform Engineering, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong fundamentals in networking, security, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience instrumenting applications with observability tooling and telemetry pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate observability capabilities for scalability.
• Instrument telemetry pipelines and dashboards.
• Integrate with backends like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Define golden-signal and SLI/SLO standards; optimize cost and performance.
• Collaborate with teams and evolve Observability-as-Code modules.
