Job summary

BMS FAMILY HEALTH AND WELLNESS CENTERS in New York seeks an experienced Lead Obstetrician/Gynecologist to provide clinical leadership and oversee women’s health services, including obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive care. You’ll balance direct patient care with leadership duties, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based, and culturally responsive services.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in New York State.
• Active DEA registration.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical OB/GYN experience, with leadership or supervisory experience.
• Hospital admitting privileges or ability to obtain them.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership for OB/GYN services across all sites.
• Establish, implement, and monitor clinical protocols and best practices for obstetric and gynecologic care.
• Mentor and supervise OB/GYN providers and support staff.
• Lead peer review, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives in women’s health services.
• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care including prenatal, postpartum, family planning, and gynecologic services.
• Participate in on-call coverage and hospital privileges as required.
• Ensure continuity of care and appropriate referrals to specialty services.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to improve access and patient flow.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation of OB/GYN providers.
• Contribute to strategic planning for women’s health services.
