Job summary

Sound Transit is seeking a Deputy Director-Operations and Maintenance Interface Management in Seattle, WA. This senior role leads the OMF program coordination between Operations, Maintenance, and Capital Delivery to ensure operational and maintainability requirements are embedded in project planning, design, and construction.

The role supervises staff and consultants and drives cost/schedule control across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Facility Management, Transit Operations, or related field.
• Six years of experience in rail-related projects; experience with rail facilities, track, systems, or maintenance is preferred.
• Four years of leadership, budgeting, planning, and workforce management experience.
• Certifications or licenses related to Design Build or other alternative construction delivery methods (DBIA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Operations and Maintenance interface for capital projects across planning, design, construction, and turnover to operations.
• Lead and supervise professional staff and consultants in program management activities for the OMF program.
• Develop and implement integrated program management tools for cost and scheduling; monitor progress and performance.
• Represent the operational perspective throughout the project lifecycle and resolve O&M interface issues.
