Job summary

Halifax County is seeking a part-time supervisor to manage a Congregate Nutritional Site for senior meals, ensuring a safe, clean environment and compliance with aging standards. You will plan meals and activities, maintain records, and coordinate with Senior Service staff and state agencies.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of supervisory experience. ServSafe certification is preferred or must be completed within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of supervisory experience.
• ServSafe Certification preferred or must be completed within 6 months of employment.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Congregate Nutritional Site to ensure a safe, clean and well-maintained facility.
• Plan and schedule daily meals and activities for senior participants and adhere to budget restrictions.
• Maintain accurate record keeping and daily documentation of the nutrition program (dates, meal temps, attendance, contributions).
• Collaborate with the Senior Service Coordinator, Senior Nutrition Assistant and other agencies as needed.
