Job summary

Baltimore County is seeking a Senior Center Nutrition Site Specialist in the Department of Aging for a part-time, 20-hour weekly schedule. You will oversee nutrition sites, monitor compliance, recruit and train volunteers, and coordinate with the caterer and Nutrition Office to ensure food quality and service delivery.

The role requires ServSafe certification or the ability to obtain it within 6 months, strong communication skills, and the ability to work with seniors across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Ability to work with senior adults, volunteers, and the community with good communication.

Responsibilities

• Monitors nutrition sites for policy compliance.
• Monitors volunteer and paid leaders; assists with daily operations.
• Recruits volunteers and participants; markets the Eating Together Program.
• Collaborates with leaders and managers on facility issues; supports reporting on food quality and delivery.
• Performs reporting tasks: attendance, meal counts, nutrition reports, and supply orders.
• Registers participants into the Eating Together Program and maintains program records.
