Job summary

WelbeHealth is seeking a Dietary Assistant (Kitchen Aide) to support safe, therapeutic nutrition services at our day centers for seniors. You will receive vendor-prepped meals, prepare them for serving, and ensure dietary needs are followed while keeping the kitchen clean.

This role requires a high school diploma, California ServSafe and Food Handlers certifications, and at least one year in food service. CPR/First Aid within 180 days is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• CA ServSafe and Food Handlers Certification.
• Minimum of one year of experience in food service or preparation.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire; preferred at hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing safe, therapeutic nutrition services.
• Maintain storage standards of vendor-prepared food.
• Measure and record food temperatures.
• Prepare and plate food according to dietary cards.
• Label and date perishable food in refrigerators/freezers.
• Record inventory and place orders for replacements.
