Job summary

One Senior Care is seeking a dedicated Nutrition Assistant to prepare and serve nutritious meals for participants, following dietary needs and safety standards. You will join a calm, team-focused kitchen supporting seniors with warmth and care.

The role offers a first shift, full-time schedule with benefits and hands-on training. Prior food service experience and ServeSafe certification are a plus and training is provided if needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of experience preparing or serving food, preferably with individuals who have unique dietary needs.
• Experience working with the frail or elderly population is a plus, but training is provided.
• ServeSafe Certification (or willingness to obtain after hire — we’ll provide the training!)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch based on participant menus and dietary needs.
• Follow participant diet cards to ensure proper portions and safe food handling.
• Set up and dismantle the Café service area for meals and special events.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen and food service areas.
• Receive and record daily food deliveries and temperatures.
• Rotate and label food supplies to maintain freshness and safety.
• Complete monthly inventory and assist with grocery orders.
• Maintain participant menus and update diet cards as needed.
