The University of Tennessee, Knoxville invites applications for two open 9-month full-time, tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Associate Professor to start August 1, 2027. We seek scholars advancing nursing education, research, and practice with strong mentoring and collaborative goals.

The College of Nursing offers a rich environment for inter-professional education, with partnerships across health, engineering, and hospital systems.

Qualifications

• Earned doctorate in nursing by time of appointment.
• Eligibility for Associate Professor with tenure-track expectations.
• Demonstrated teaching effectiveness and student mentorship.
• Eligibility for RN licensure in Tennessee and active state license.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain an active scholarly program with external funding.
• Disseminate findings via publications, conferences, and presentations.
• Mentor junior faculty and collaborate across disciplines.
• Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses and contribute to curriculum development.
• Engage in accreditation activities and program evaluation.
