Job summary

KOPA, Inc. seeks a Nurse Practitioner to diagnose and treat health conditions, promote healthy practices, and lead clinical care at Avante at Leesburg in Florida.

The APRN will provide essential care to residents requiring temporary placement with a focus on infection control needs. Responsibilities include examining patients, ordering tests, diagnosing conditions, prescribing medications, educating patients and families, and supervising a NP team.

Qualifications

• Proven Nurse Practitioner experience in a skilled nursing facility with supervisory responsibilities
• Expertise in primary, acute and chronic care
• Knowledge of health care regulations governing patient care
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong ethics and team-oriented attitude
• Willingness to continue gaining clinical knowledge
• Valid nurse practitioner license

Responsibilities

• Examine patients and review medical records
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
• Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
• Prescribe medications
• Maintain accurate records and schedules
• Educate patients and families on diseases and prevention
• Oversee patients’ overall health and advance professional knowledge
• Supervise and mentor a NP team
• Lead team meetings and onboarding of NPs
• Provide clinical feedback and refine workflows
• Travel to cover other Florida facilities when needed
