Job summary

KOPA, Inc. is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to diagnose and treat health conditions, and promote healthy practices at the newly remodeled Avante at Mt. Dora. You will conduct physical exams, interpret tests, and oversee patient care in a skilled nursing setting.

As an APRN, you’ll lead and mentor a NP team, collaborate with facility leadership, and ensure compliance with health regulations. AHCA background screening applies, with travel within Florida as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Nurse Practitioner in a skilled nursing facility.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Expertise in primary, acute and chronic care.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients and review medical records.
• Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays).
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses; propose treatments.
• Prescribe medications and maintain records.
• Educate patients and family on diseases and prevention.
• Supervise and mentor NP team; lead meetings.
• Assist onboarding and training of new NPs.
• Provide coverage at other facilities when needed.
