DESC seeks a Senior Nurse Manager to lead nursing within the ORCA POD Team and ORCA Center in Seattle. You will guide clinical and administrative nursing functions, coordinate MOUD services, and ensure high-quality behavioral health treatment aligned with recovery and harm reduction principles.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the ORCA Program Manager and medical leadership, overseeing staffing, training, and regulatory compliance to deliver comprehensive care for adults with complex needs.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license in Washington in good standing.
• At least 2 years in community-based behavioral health with MOUD/psychiatric care.
• 1+ year in leadership and supervision of clinical services.
• Experience with homelessness, mental illness, or substance use disorders.
• Ability to pass Washington background check.
• Knowledge of harm reduction strategies.
• Ability to provide MOUD to vulnerable adults.
• Ability to coordinate with staff from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to recovery-based and harm-reduction approaches.

Responsibilities

• Direct medical aspects of client care within multidisciplinary teams.
• Oversee medical care and medication administration per client needs.
• Provide clinical and administrative supervision of nursing staff.
• Ensure compliance with licensing, DEA, and related regulations.
• Coordinate performance evaluations and maintain confidential records.
• Collaborate with ORCA leadership to structure staffing and training.
• Establish high-quality practice standards for ORCA Center staff.
• Oversee budgets, staffing, and contractual obligations.
• Lead equity initiatives across ORCA Center operations.
• Supervise nursing involvement in psychiatric consultations and team meetings.
• Support education for clients regarding treatment and health conditions.
• Coordinate with housing programs to ensure continuity of care.
