Job summary

EATONCREEK is seeking a Director of Staff Development to plan and implement facility orientation, in-service education, and a Certification Training Program for nursing assistants. This role partners with the DON and Administrator to ensure the highest quality care and also provides direct resident care when required.

The position requires RN or LVN/LPN licensure, BSN preferred, and experience in planning and evaluating nursing education programs, ideally in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• RN or LVN/LPN license in good standing.
• BSN preferred.
• 1 year direct patient care in long-term care.
• 1 year planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing education programs.
• 2+ years in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement facility orientation and in-service education for staff.
• Coordinate recruitment, hiring, and documentation processes.
• Coordinate payroll and employee benefits programs.
• Organize and document drills per regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain educational records and annual in-service calendar.
• Provide direct resident/patient care when needed and supervise staff.
