Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking an experienced electrical designer to support nuclear power projects. You will work in a project team environment on the design, modification, and upgrade of electrical systems, producing wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, relay/meters, and AC/DC schematics.

Hybrid work requires in-office presence three days per week, with field walkdowns as needed. Ideal candidates hold an associate degree or higher with 12+ years of wiring design experience for medium-voltage and

Qualifications

• Associate degree in drafting or equivalent technical design experience.
• 12+ years of detailed wiring design experience for power plants or large facilities.
• Familiarity with digital control systems.
• Produce wiring diagrams and schematics for installers and electricians.
• Extensive AutoCAD and/or Microstation design experience in power plant projects.
• Ability to interface with engineering and design teams across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design, modification, and/or upgrade of power plant electrical systems.
• Develop relay, metering, single-line, AC/DC schematic, and synchronizing diagrams.
• Produce wiring drawings and review vendor drawings for project design.
• Attend field walkdowns and data gathering at client facilities when needed.
