Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Principal Power Uprate Engineer to guide nuclear power uprate projects nationwide. You will lead evaluations, manage design changes, and ensure regulatory compliance while mentoring junior engineers.

You'll collaborate with design, licensing, operations, and maintenance teams across office locations, with remote work considered for strong candidates not near an office. Travel about 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• 10+ years in nuclear engineering focusing on power uprates.
• PE license or progress toward licensure is a plus.
• Experience with nuclear plant systems and regulatory compliance.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead uprate evaluations and implementation of modifications.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster technical excellence.
• Coordinate with design engineering, licensing, operations, and maintenance teams.
• Prepare technical reports, design change packages, and regulatory submissions.
• Assess design margins and system impacts of uprate on plant equipment.
• Interface with vendors and contractors for studies and upgrades.
