Job summary

ENERCON Services, Inc. is seeking a Principal Power Uprate Engineer to lead evaluations and implementation of uprate projects at nuclear facilities nationwide. This leadership role emphasizes deep nuclear systems knowledge, project execution, and mentorship of engineers.

You will work with cross-functional teams, ensure safety and compliance with IEEE/IEC/NEC/NERC standards, and coordinate with regulatory bodies. Remote work may be considered for strong candidates not near an office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• 10+ years of nuclear engineering experience with a focus on power uprates.
• PE license or progress toward licensure is a plus.
• Experience evaluating large-scale power generation systems to IEEE, IEC, NEC, and NERC standards; preferably in nuclear.
• Ability to perform engineering studies and analyses across electrical, mechanical, and civil/structural disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead power uprate evaluations and implementation as a subject matter expert.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate with design, licensing, operations, and maintenance teams.
• Prepare design change packages, technical reports, and regulatory submissions.
• Assess design margins and system impact for uprate proposals.
• Collaborate with vendors and contractors on specialized studies and upgrades.
