Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an Engineering Manager - Fixed Equipment Design to lead a technical team supporting GVH on BWRX-300 SMR mechanical component design. You will direct design, qualification, and program management to meet safety and regulatory standards, while coordinating with internal stakeholders, partners, and regulators.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 10+ years in technology/engineering, and 3+ years of engineering leadership, with US location flexibility and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years in technology or engineering roles.
• At least 3 years of experience leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and managerial leadership for team development.
• Oversee team performance including hiring, mentoring and evaluations.
• Plan and manage delivery of large equipment design and qualification tasks.
• Make decisions on complex engineering and program management issues.
• Lead performance and program management to meet contract requirements.
• Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
• Interface with regulators and customers on technical issues.
• Guide resources to ensure quality deliverables and cost effectiveness.
• Support business development and new opportunities.
• Protect GVH intellectual property and support process improvements.
• Participate in design reviews and corrective actions as required.
