Job summary

X Energy, LLC in Gaithersburg, Maryland is seeking an experienced engineer to help acquire, integrate, qualify, and develop a state-of-the-art engineering analysis software toolkit enabling the design and licensing of next-generation nuclear reactors.

The role demands expertise in V&V, regulated QA, and coordinating software services with project managers while ensuring alignment with design requirements and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related discipline from an accredited university or college.
• Typically, ten years of engineering experience; graduate degrees count as two extra years.
• Experience with analysis software verification and validation (V&V).
• Experience in heavily regulated QA regimes (NQA-1 or similar).

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of internally developed analysis software, docs, testing and user support.
• Prepare V&V documentation and CGD packages for analysis software.
• Maintain analysis software under QA program (NQA-1).
• Assist project managers and leads for software development.
• Coordinate staffing and recruitment to support software services.
• Ensure validation covers design requirements for full code qualification.
