Job summary

X Energy, LLC is hiring to support acquisition, integration, and development of an advanced engineering analysis software toolkit for design and licensing of next-generation nuclear reactors. The role emphasizes QA, V&V, and regulatory compliance to ensure robust software used by engineers.

Location: Gaithersburg, MD with standard in-office hours. The candidate collaborates with managers to staff and resource software services, while aligning requirements for full code qualification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, computer science or related discipline.
• Typically ten years of engineering experience; graduate degrees count as two extra years.
• Experience with analysis software verification and validation (V&V).
• Experience under a heavily regulated QA regime (e.g., nuclear safety analysis).

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of software and services to engineers conducting analysis.
• Prepare and maintain V&V documentation and CGD packages for analysis software.
• Control and maintain analysis software per the QA program and NQA-1 standards.
• Assist project managers and leads in development of analysis software.
