Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Nuclear Safety Analyst in Idaho Falls to join the Facility Safety Engineering team. You will manage DSAs and TSRs, perform hazard analyses, and ensure compliance with 10 CFR 830 Subpart B.

This role reports to the Nuclear Safety Engineering Manager and supports operations, researchers, and project managers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with safety documentation, regulatory knowledge, and the US DOE Q clearance process.

Qualifikationen

• Experience developing technical safety documentation.
• Ability to perform hazard or accident analyses.
• Familiarity with DOE nuclear safety requirements (10 CFR 830, DOE-STD-3009) or NRC frameworks.
• Ability to obtain/maintain DOE Q clearance (US Citizenship).

Aufgaben

• Support implementation of Nuclear Safety Program and ensure compliance with 10 CFR 830 and DOE standards.
• Develop, revise, and maintain DSAs and TSRs for facilities and modifications.
• Perform hazard identification and accident analyses; classify safety systems.
• Derive DSA commitments and TSR controls from analyses to mitigate releases.
• Execute USQ process and develop interim controls and corrective actions.
• Review operating procedures and events to support safety.
• Manage safety-basis projects and track schedules.
• Develop practical safety controls for operations.
• Provide peer reviews of safety documents.
• Use analytical tools for safety analyses; MCNP or MicroShield experience preferred.
• Collaborate with facility staff to implement safety requirements.
