Job summary

Day & Zimmermann seeks a Senior Project Engineering Manager to lead the engineering scope for medium to large commercial nuclear projects, including BOP and non-safety plant systems for SMRs, Microreactors, and nuclear fuel facilities.

You will integrate multi-discipline engineering with project cost, schedule, technical, configuration-control, construction, and commissioning requirements while maintaining alignment with regulatory, licensing, quality, client, and site standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in effective project management and budgeting.
• Strong organizational skills for multiple projects.
• Broad technical knowledge across engineering disciplines and clear communication of complex requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn other software; experience with Revit a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering scope for medium to large nuclear projects, including BOP and non-safety-related systems.
• Develop project schedules and manage documentation deliverables; coordinate with suppliers/contractors.
• Coordinate RFIs, DCRs, and FCRs; integrate construction into reviews and schedules.
• Provide leadership to plan and implement departmental policies and interface with customers.
• Define project deliverables and interfaces; support procurement planning.
